HATS and WebFacing are two dissimilar ways of transforming a legacy application and making it web enabled. Each technology has its pros and cons and we have provided consultancy to many of our valued clients on which strategy is better for them to transform their legacy applications.
- WebFacing works on taking the DDS source of a legacy program and converting into a web enabled interface by the use of JSP and XML.
- HATS works by recognizing the screen that is generated by the legacy application. It does not require DDS of a legacy application to work.
- IBM is coming up with new strategy name IBM WebFacing Deployment with HATS technology that combines both WebFacing and HATS technology.
